Will a remap void my manufacturer warranty?
If the car is still inside its manufacturer warranty, changing the engine software can affect a claim on the drivetrain. We will tell you where you stand before you book, and plenty of customers wait until the warranty is up.
Is it safe for the engine?
The file is written inside the tolerances the engine was designed around, and we check the car for existing faults first. A tired engine with a slipping clutch or a boost leak will not be mapped until it is sorted.
How long does it take?
Most cars are done in one to two hours. Anything that needs the ECU out on the bench can take longer, and we tell you that when you book rather than on the day.
Can it be put back to standard?
Yes. Your original file is saved before we touch anything and it stays on our system, so the car can be returned to factory software at any point.
Do you have to see the car?
Yes. We are a working garage at Mayfair Industrial Estate, so the vehicle comes to us and gets looked over properly before anything is written.
What do you need from me to quote?
The registration, and a note of anything that has been changed on the car. That is usually enough for us to come back with a price the same day.
